EASTER...
So I know that as a Christian I'm supposed to be jazzed about the holiday, but to be honest, I'm just not there. I'm so thankful for my salvation, but the motions of the season feel kinda hollow... Today I'm praying that Jesus catches me off guard in the next few days. I'd like to be surprised by joy...

I just wanted to pop in and say hey! I haven't seen you for a while. Things are steadying(is this a word?) out on this end. I should probably get my butt in gear and read the last 4 months of your blog but thought I needed to type first before I do laundry and get distracted .. again.

Ok, I typed too soon. I'm caught up on reading. I don't think I have the strength or courage to read Joshua's battle right now.
Hi Mandy. I just wanted to check in and say hello. I can fully understand about not being all that psyched about Easter. Of course we appreciate God's amazing love and His Gift, but that does not always have to translate into emotion, and that's just fine.
Over here, you would never have even known that Easter happened, except for the few Easter egg hunts announced here and there, and a disproportionate focus on the Easter bunny.... I know -- what would you expect in a Muslim country?
